I loved this, thank you! I'm fully on the thinking/analysis side of the spectrum, and have been exploring the opposite side, so this comes at a really nice time
I love the idea of wisdom rising up from the body to be rendered in the mind. It seems to me that this generalizes--the mind is a capable renderer of all sorts of inputs using a palette of mental models, rationality, and biases. When the input is "bad", that's when this whole thing becomes a trap. Can input from the body be "bad"? Input from the body, here, is synonymous with a common framing on Substack from Campbell's "follow your bliss" to "do what makes you feel alive".
So well articulated, thank you!

Thank you very much for this. I look forward to reading more of this especially now for men
Good one, had written on these lines back when I had the same realization: “You are not your mind. The mind doesn't want you to be free.
It will bombard you with thoughts when you need them the least.
It will love that you procrastinate and dwell on your mistortunes.
It fears that you might take action and get so absorbed in whatever you do that you forget about it.
Your mind is a child. It wants attention. All the time.
But it's up to you to decide when it deserves your attention.
Don't fall prey to your mind. Don't let it rule your life.
Grab it, tame it and put it in a cage.
Let it out only when you're at leisure and want to enjoy what it shows you.
Remember, you are not your mind.”
